Our story
MG Sportswear started in 1984 in our founder Gino’s front room, driven by his passion for local youth football. He saw teams turning up in mismatched kit and knew there had to be a better way to provide clubs with quality sportswear they could afford.
What began as a small operation serving grassroots football in the West Midlands has grown into one of the UK’s leading sportswear manufacturers.
But we’ve never forgotten where we came from. We’re still based in Kidderminster, still passionate about grassroots football, and still treat every order with the same care we did back in 1984.
The difference is we now have over 40 years of experience and a factory full of equipment and expertise that lets us kit out everything from Sunday league teams to major promotional campaigns.
What we do
We design and manufacture custom sportswear for football clubs, corporate clients, PR agencies, event organisers and production companies. Everything happens under one roof here in Kidderminster, the design work, printing, embroidery, hand-sewing and finishing. That means you deal directly with the people making your kit, which cuts out confusion and speeds everything up. We specialise in bespoke football kits that break the rules about what kit design can be.
But we also produce teamwear, corporate clothing and promotional sportswear for projects that need something special. Our kits have been worn everywhere from non-league pitches to the upper reaches of the football pyramid, from footy-mad teenagers to household name celebrities.
